Creative Commons

Creative Commons - is a nonprofit organization that seeks to facilitate the use and creation of derivative works in accordance to copyright laws. It provides free licenses and other legal instruments for artists, who themselves determine what they'd like to share and what to protected. Creative Commons is offering a golden middle between "all rights reserved" and "no rights reserved" - "some rights reserved".

 

Creative Commons helps to adapt basic free licenses to the requirements of copyright law in different countries. Adaptation means translation to the relevant national languages and amendment of license text in accordance with national legislation. 53 countries have already done the free Creative Commons license part of the national copyright law, and another 18 countries are working on changes. The Ukraine is among them.
